Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Evenpairs, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

Evenpairs is a private members network for verified professionals. The service includes:

Curated introductions for dating and friendship
Messaging and communication tools
Curated experiences, events, and partner offers
Mentor introductions for founders and operators
AI-assisted recommendations

3. Eligibility

You must:

Be at least 18 years old
Provide accurate information and pass identity verification
Use the platform responsibly

4. User Safety & Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Harass, threaten, or harm others
Share misleading or false information or misrepresent your identity
Use Evenpairs for commercial solicitation, recruiting, or sales
Engage in illegal or unsafe activities

We reserve the right to remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and investigate violations. See our Community Guidelines for the full standard.

5. Real-World Interactions Disclaimer

Evenpairs facilitates introductions but does not guarantee outcomes or user behavior.

You are solely responsible for your interactions, on or off the platform
You use discretion when meeting others
Evenpairs is not liable for in-person interactions

6. Messaging & Communications

You agree to communicate respectfully
You may receive SMS or notifications (if opted in)
You can opt out via settings or by replying "STOP" to SMS

7. Payments

Applying for membership is free — you are only charged after your application is reviewed and approved
Paid memberships are billed annually unless otherwise stated
Payments are handled via Stripe
Fees may change with reasonable notice; changes apply to renewals only

7a. Auto-renewal, Cancellation & Refunds

Auto-renewal: annual memberships automatically renew at the then-current rate on the anniversary of your first paid day, unless cancelled before the renewal date.
How to cancel: from Profile → Membership, or by emailing support@evenpairs.com from the address on your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term and stops the next charge.
EU / UK consumers: you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of your first payment. To withdraw, email support@evenpairs.com within 14 days; we will refund the membership fee in full.
California residents (Automatic Renewal Law): you may cancel at any time as described above. By accepting these Terms you acknowledge that your subscription will continue and renew until cancelled.
Outside the EU/UK 14-day window: memberships are generally non-refundable, but we review hardship and good-faith requests case by case.

7b. Membership Credits & Referrals

Members may earn membership credits ($100 per successful referral, capped at 5 successful referrals per member per year) when invited members are approved and complete their first payment. By participating you agree that:

Credits are non-cash, non-transferable, and non-refundable
Credits are applied automatically toward your next renewal and have no monetary value outside Evenpairs
Credits expire 24 months after issuance if unused
The referrer must be an active, paid member at the time the credit is issued
Referrals obtained through fraud, spam, self-referral, or other incentivized signups will be voided and credits clawed back
We may modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time, with reasonable notice for credits already earned

8. AI Disclaimer

AI features provide suggestions only, may not always be accurate, and should not be solely relied upon. A human team curates every introduction before it reaches you.

9. Content Moderation

We may review, remove, or restrict content
We enforce platform policies and act on reports
Suspended members may appeal by emailing support@evenpairs.com within 30 days

10. Third-Party Services

Use of integrated services (e.g., Google Maps, Stripe) is subject to their terms.

11. Intellectual Property & DMCA

Evenpairs, the Evenpairs name, logo, and all platform design and software are owned by Evenpairs and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you upload but grant Evenpairs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the service.

If you believe content on Evenpairs infringes your copyright, send a notice meeting the requirements of 17 U.S.C. §512(c) to legal@evenpairs.com with: (i) the work claimed to be infringed, (ii) the URL or location of the allegedly infringing material, (iii) your contact details, (iv) a good-faith statement, (v) a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act, and (vi) your physical or electronic signature.

12. Limitation of Liability

Evenpairs is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for user behavior, third-party services, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violation of these Terms or our Community Guidelines. You may close your account at any time via Account deletion.

14. Partner Program

Businesses applying to become Evenpairs partners (venues, hosts, brands) agree that:

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance
Approved partners are subject to a separate Partner Agreement governing offers, payments, and conduct
Evenpairs reserves the right to remove partners at any time for policy violations or member safety concerns
Partner-submitted content (offers, descriptions, imagery) may be edited or removed by Evenpairs to maintain platform standards
Partners are responsible for honoring offers extended to Evenpairs members and complying with applicable laws

15. Mentor Program

Operators and ex-founders applying to mentor through Evenpairs agree that:

Mentor participation is by application only and submission does not guarantee acceptance
Mentors must not use introductions to solicit business, sell paid services, recruit, or pitch deals to mentees
Mentors must respect mentee confidentiality and not share private discussions outside the program
Evenpairs may remove a mentor at any time for policy violations, low engagement, or member safety concerns
The mentor program is currently free and intended for curated introductions only; any future paid sessions or marketplace will be governed by an updated agreement

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute that is not subject to arbitration is the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.

Informal resolution. Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute by emailing legal@evenpairs.com with a written description and to negotiate in good faith for at least 30 days.

Binding arbitration & class-action waiver (US members). Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service that is not resolved informally will be resolved by final, binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, on an individual basis. You and Evenpairs waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@evenpairs.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

EU / UK consumers retain the right to bring a claim in the courts of the country where they reside, and nothing in this section limits non-waivable consumer rights under local law.

17. General

Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, are the entire agreement between you and Evenpairs.
Severability: if any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
No waiver: our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
Assignment: you may not assign these Terms; Evenpairs may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

18. Updates

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice.
